When you receive your new wetsuit, try it on while your body is dry.
It might be a bit challenging to put on for the first time. You can try slipping a plastic bag over your hands and feet to reduce friction and make it easier to get the suit on.
For wetsuits with a back zipper, hold the bottom of the zipper with one hand and gently pull up the cord with the other. If it feels stuck, don’t force it—adjust the zipper slightly and try again. Avoid pulling the zipper too hard to prevent damage.
The first time you wear the wetsuit, you might feel some tightness or constriction. This is necessary to maintain warmth and buoyancy. Take a few minutes to stretch and move around in the suit to let it adjust and conform to your body. After a few minutes, if the tightness eases and the suit feels like a second skin, congratulations! That means you’ve found the right fit.
The wetsuit will feel more comfortable and less restrictive after you've used it in the water.
