Just what we needed! My kid loves it
It works. It’s not waterproof. It more or less locks in heat. My son is ridiculously skinny and very tall, so I didn’t want to buy a full suit and find it not fitting. We went to an indoor water park, where he usually lasts 45 minutes max and is begging to go in the hot tub. Wearing this, he lasted much longer doing the slides and pools and other parts. Once in the heated pool, he had to take it off though! Too hot for that! Otherwise, yes it smells when you first open it, rinse and let it dry, it’s good to go. He found it comfortable and it’s seemed to be good quality as well
I bought this wetsuit for my 6-year-old son at the beginning of swim season in May because the water was still cold and he was having trouble making it through swim practice. The suit fit him well, maybe a bit on the bigger side, but not too big. He enjoys wearing it. It's easy to get on and off. The price was very reasonable.
Make sure to not buy a size your kid normally wears as this suit fits snug. The zipper will also irritate the throat.
My son is always shivering during his swim lessons so I bought this wet suit to help him when he’s waiting his turn at the edge of the pool. It made a world of difference and I’m so grateful.
